ONLINE RESERVATIONS

• 12.75% Sales Tax on All Rentals in Currituck County & Associated Fees
• 11.75% Sales Tax on All Rentals in Dare County & Associated Fees

RESERVATIONS

Reservations are accepted for all homes through our web site or by calling direct at 252-261-2326. Rates and amenities shown are subject to change without notice. A non-refundable Administration Fee of $125 plus tax will be charged for each reservation. Upon booking a reservation, instructions to access your online GuestWeb account will be emailed to you. ALL RESERVATIONS MUST HAVE A SIGNED VRA AND BE CONFIRMED WITH FIRST PAYMENT WITHIN 5 DAYS OF THE RESERVATION BEING MADE. First payment includes Administration Fee (plus tax), optional Travel Insurance and one half the rental amount. RESERVATIONS MADE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ARRIVAL MUST HAVE A SIGNED VRA AND BE CONFIRMED WITH FULL PAYMENT WITHIN 3 DAYS OF THE RESERVATION BEING MADE.

In our continuing effort toward a Greener Earth and to make booking and maintaining your vacation reservation as simple and easy as possible, you may now manage your reservation account completely on-line with our new GuestWeb. Click on the GuestWeb link at the top of the page. Enter your reservation number and zip code to access your GuestWeb account. GuestWeb allows you to e-sign your rental agreement (VRA), make your payment, upload a discount card (if applicable) and send us secure emails concerning your reservation.

PAYMENTS

Payments may be made with personal check, money order, cashiers or certified check, e-check or credit card. Payment of the remaining balance for your stay is due 30 days prior to check-in. Payments for reservations made within 30 days of arrival OR balances received less than 30 days prior to arrival MUST be in the form of money order, cashiers or certified check, e-check or credit card. NO PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ARRIVAL; NO E-CHECKS ACCEPTED WITHIN 10 DAYS OF ARRIVAL. ALL BALANCES MUST BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO CHECK-IN. NO Funds accepted at check-in.

PLEASE NOTE: Name on credit card MUST match the Leaseholder's name. Use of e-check or credit card will require payment of a convenience fee ($5 for e-check - $39.95 for credit card).

Insufficient Funds Checks - A service charge of $45.00 will be added for any check returned to us for any reason. Certified funds will then be required for any payment.

PRE-RESERVING VACATIONS

Same Time Next Year? Kitty Dunes Rentals is happy to offer our current year guests priority to pre-reserve the same home and week next year. You may pre-reserve for the following year prior to the departure of your current stay. A $50 plus tax Pre-Reservation Fee must be paid upon departure.

If this year's guests do not pre-reserve their vacation upon their departure, you may pre-reserve for the following year. If you wish to reserve a different home or a different arrival date, your request will be entered within 3 days of the present occupants' waiver of priority status at check-out. A $50 plus tax Pre-Reservation Fee must be paid with the Pre-Reservation Request.

Pre-reservations are only tentative and will be based on the home's availability in the Kitty Dunes Rentals program for the following year as well as availability set forth by the homeowner.

The Pre-Reservation Fee will be refunded if your choice of home is unavailable or the rental rate increases by 10% or more from the previous years' rate. Every effort will be made to locate acceptable, alternative accommodations for your vacation. In the even you decide to cancel your Pre-Reservation for any reason other than those stated above, the Pre-Reservation Fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and do not apply to next year's reservation.

DISCOUNTS

Many home owners participate in our discount programs: Military, AARP, AAA, Police, Firefighters & EMS. The individual property web page will indicate if the owner participates in the discount program. In order to receive this discount, the owner must participate in the discount program and you must return a copy of your valid card with your lease and 1st payment. Discounts will not be given at any other time. Only one discount per reservation. Discounts are only valid on rentals of 7 or more days in length.

Discounts cards can be scanned and uploaded into your GuestWeb account. If you are unable to scan your discount card, please call our reservationists at 888-860-3863 and they will provide a fax number for this purpose.

MINI STAYS

MINI STAYS are vacation rentals less than 7 nights. MINI STAYS are available only on participating homes. OFF SEASON MINI STAYS require a minimum of a 3 night rental and are available from January 1 to April 26, 2012 and October 5 to December 31, 2012; IN SEASON MINI STAYS require a minimum of a 4 night rental and are available from April 27 to October 4, 2012.

For OFF SEASON MINI STAYS, reservations may be made up to 2 WEEKS prior to arrival. Off Season Mini Stays must be a minimum of 3 nights. Flyers Club homes DO NOT offer sheets and/or towels on partial stays, although sheets and towels may still be rented through Kitty Dunes Rentals.

For IN SEASON MINI STAYS, reservations may be made the MONDAY prior to arrival. In Season Mini Stays must be a minimum of 4 nights. Flyers Club homes DO NOT offer sheets and/or towels on partial stays, although sheets and towels may still be rented through Kitty Dunes Rentals.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

This covers much more than Hurricanes, specifics are in a pamphlet provided with your rental agreement. Kitty Dunes Rentals offers optional travel insurance from Travel Guard International. A premium of 7% of the total rent, Administration Fee and tax is charged. To purchase, you must forward the premium amount along with the advance rent payment.

CHECK-IN

Check-in time is 4:00 P.M. on the day your reservation begins. Please schedule your arrival accordingly. Keys will not be given out prior to check-in time. Be sure to locate the correct check in office in advance, as each office only carries the keys for their area. Below are our office locations, and the areas they serve.

EARLY CHECK-IN

Kitty Dunes offers a limited number of early check-ins at 1:00 pm for an additional $95 plus tax. This feature is not available for homes with 6 plus bedrooms and/or homes in 4WD area. Early check-in can not be guaranteed and is available first come first serve basis. In the event we can not provide you with early check-in, you will be refunded this fee.

CHECK-OUT

Checkout time is 10:00 A.M. Please respect the next guests by leaving on time. Upon checkout, guests are expected to do their dishes, carry out the trash, close and lock windows and doors, leave the premises in a neat, tidy condition and return keys to the appropriate office. Keys can be left in our drop box outside the office door if you are leaving during non-business hours. Please make sure you return the keys to the office at which you checked-in. DO NOT LEAVE KEYS IN THE HOUSE.

Cleaning. We try to clean the homes early; however, if necessary, cleaners may remain on the premises until 7:00 p.m. on check-in day and may enter the premises at 10:00 a.m. on check out day. Mid-week cleans available. Call for details.

EXPRESS CHECK-OUT

AVAILABLE only for - Currituck Club, Whalehead, Monteray Shores, Ocean Sands, Sanderling, Duck & Southern Shores homes. Enjoy the benefit of leaving the keys at your rental home and you're on your way home! Call the Kitty Dunes office at 252-261-2326 ext. 35, leave a message stating: the leaseholder's name, the property number and your time of check-out. (10am check-out STILL applies). Lock the door - drive safely!

FAMILIES ONLY

Properties will NOT be rented to non-family groups. If a group misrepresents itself (as a family), Kitty Dunes HAS the right to have premises immediately vacated WITHOUT refund and impose appropriate penalties. Strict adherence to the house occupancy limits is enforced. Overcrowding violates local health code and is grounds for eviction WITHOUT refund. No mobile sleeping units or tents may be used at homes for any purpose other than transportation.

SECURITY DEPOSITS

Security deposits are required on all homes and will be noted in the description. Security Deposits will be refunded within 45 days of Check-Out date less damage costs. Accidental Rental Damage Insurance (ARDI) is available for most properties.

ACCIDENTAL RENTAL DAMAGE INSURANCE (ARDI)

CANCELLATIONS & TRANSFERS

If you need to cancel your reservation, we will attempt to re-rent the home for you. To do this, a $95 non-refundable Cancellation Fee and your written authorization must be received first. Once your entire reservation is successfully re-rented for the full amount of your VRA with confirmed payment, your rent amount paid (less non-refundable fees) will be refunded. The Travel Insurance payment and/or ARDI if purchased, Administration Fee and Cancellation Fees are not refundable. If the reservation does not re-rent, full payment is due.

Transfer from one home to another is a re-rent of the first reservation and the $95 fee (plus tax) will be charged. All above re-rent rules apply. Transfers from one week to another in the same house will be charged a $95 move fee (plus tax) and charged the higher rental rate. All rental payments will be applied to your new week.

ACCOMMODATIONS

All homes managed by Kitty Dunes Rentals are privately owned. Each owner welcomes you to their home in hopes that you enjoy your visit. Each property is furnished according to the owner's individual preference and tastes. Refunds are not given for dissatisfaction with décor. Homes are furnished with pillows, bedspreads/comforters, dishes and kitchen dining utensils. Most homes have outside showers. Guests should bring sheets, blankets, towels, bathroom and kitchen products. Rental homes noting "FLYERS CLUB" or "FLYERS CLUB W/BEDS MADE" provide sheets and/or towels. IF your home does not provide "FLYERS CLUB", your lease allows you to select Guest Linens (sheets and towels) as an optional item to be delivered to your home.

POOLS, SPAS & WHIRLPOOLS

Community pool access is generally from May 31st or after September 1st. Homes with private pools are generally offered from April 27th to October 5th, weather permitting, unless otherwise noted in the description. Please call for verification of dates. There are risks involved with the use of these features. Please follow the posted rules carefully. Pets are absolutely prohibited in pools and spas.

Spa or Hot Tub: Designed for complete water circulation, filtration and disinfectant.

Whirlpool: No filtration, heating or disinfectant; the water is drained after each use.

Jacuzzi: Brand name of a spa.

Salt Pool: Uses salt as a means of sanitation.

LONG DISTANCE CALLS

Most homes provide telephone service for LOCAL calls and have long-distance blocks in place. All toll calls, including information calls, must be charged to the tenant's home phone or calling card. All our rental areas & Manteo are local calls.

PETS

Some homes allow pets (2 maximum). Pets must be declared and a $95 (plus tax) non-refundable pet fee per pet must be paid PRIOR to check-in of Pet Friendly Homes. Pets are prohibited in pools and spas; such conduct will result in immediate eviction without refund plus a sanitizing fee up to $400 (plus tax). RENTAL PROPERTIES WHICH STATE NO PETS MEAN NO PETS AND IS STRICTLY ENFORCED. Violation of this regulation is grounds for eviction without refund as well as a $250 (PLUS TAX) cleaning fee.

Animal boarding is available at Coastal Animal Hospital - 252-261-3960, Animal Hospital of Nags Head - 252-441-8611, Roanoke Island Animal Hospital - 252-473-3117and Salty Dog - 252-441-6501.

FLYER'S CLUB

Some of our Owners would like to treat you to the convenience of sheets and towels upon your arrival. Look for the Flyer's Club notation in the house description. NOTE: Flyer's Club is not available for MINI STAYS.

HOME MAINTENANCE

Every effort is made to keep each home and equipment in good working order. When repairs are needed, every effort is made to have the repairs completed in a swift manner. Please notify us of any needs.

ERRORS AND MALFUNCTIONING EQUIPMENT

Every effort has been made to have accurate home descriptions on this website; however, Kitty Dunes is NOT responsible nor liable for any errors, omissions, or changes of equipment, furnishings or amenities offered by individual owners. If there is a rate error, you will be given the option to either accept the higher rate or cancel your reservation.

Pools, Hot Tubs, TVs, DVDs and other entertainment equipment are extra features provided by many owners. Due to their intrinsic delicacy, Tenant agrees there will be NO REFUNDS for malfunctions or breakdowns of entertainment equipment.

WELL WATER

In some areas of the Outer Banks the water is naturally salty or discolored. The water is not harmful; however, you may choose to purchase bottled water for drinking and cooking. This condition is beyond the control of Kitty Dunes Rentals and homeowners and NO REFUNDS will be made.
